OUR STORY

Our journey began unexpectedly during the challenging times of 2020. Originally, I was on the path to becoming an educational psychologist, but the stress of exams and dissertation work during the lockdown made me reconsider my future. One day, amidst the chaos, God told me to pivot…pivot into the food industry — and baking became my calling.

From childhood, I loved baking for family and friends, unknowingly laying the foundation for what was to come. My first entrepreneurial venture at 14 was selling shortbread at school. Later, I ventured into food blogging, which further honed my skills and passion. Yet, it never occurred to me to turn baking into a career.

In October 2020, with a clear vision and unwavering faith, I began transforming my passion into a business. After perfecting my cinnamon buns, I decided to launch Bun Dat Bakery in March 2022. Starting with local deliveries in South London and expanding to markets like Camberwell Green Market, our cinnamon buns quickly became a hit.

Support from friends and family, especially Cleo, who dedicated her Saturdays to help, was invaluable. Our community grew, and by March 2023, we celebrated our first anniversary with a pop-up event in Camberwell, surrounded by our amazing customers.

Today, Bun Dat Bakery offers office catering, giant cinnamon buns, and cakes for special occasions. We participate in seasonal events like Pexmas and Black Eats London. While we dream of opening a permanent bakery in Camberwell, you can find us at the market, spreading joy through our delicious creations.
